A resident of the Central Coast for over 50 years, Robert Ogden graduated with honors from California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. Shortly after graduation, he joined the “Big 8” national accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) as an Associate, gaining experience in the audit of a variety of firms.
Achieving his designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 1975, Bob moved back to Santa Maria to begin his own practice of accountancy, where he became well known for his astute counsel to businesses, professional practices and families.
Responding to a growing need in the region for a more responsive, multifaceted option for planning, investments, life insurance and other client-centric financial services, Bob embarked upon a new venture at the turn of the century, establishing his own comprehensive wealth management and planning practice and achieving the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2001.
Understanding the value of a multigenerational team with complementary skills in meeting the growing needs of the Central Coast, Bob proactively initiated a thoughtful program of building a highly capable practice through the use of quality industry tools. Ogden Wealth Management’s object is to be responsive to the needs of clients’—families, businesses and individuals—in the planning and management process.
Husband, Father and Grandfather, Bob is active in the community as a Past President of the Santa Maria Rotary South Club and a Past President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Santa Maria Valley. He is a Member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and of the Financial Planning Association and a current Board Member of the Santa Maria Police Council.
